Sierra Leone means Lion, from the Lion Mountains because of the shape of the mountains over the harbor reminded the Portuguese discoverer of lions.
Their coat of arms has 3 lions on it and 3 torches for peace,dignity
Sierra Leone is a nation of North West Africa on the Atlantic and borders Guinea & Liberia. It is divided into Four regions: NSEW
From 1991-2002 they had civil war which devastated the nation (not over religion) and in 2014 the Ebola Outbreak overburdened their infrastructure & devastated families & villages.
Motto- Unity, Freedom, Justice

Regarded as one of the most religious tolerant nations of the world, Freedom of religion is enforced, but- 78% Islam, 20% Christianity.
