INTERPRETATION OF CAPE VERDE
Also known as Capo Verde for official purposes. Verde means green. A volcanic archipelago nation of ten islands off the coast of North West Africa.Settled by Portugal and populated by them and slaves. It gained independence in the 50s and is now one of the most developed and democratic nations of Africa. It has good health care, education and freedom.
It has no natural resources and thus is a service tourist nation. With about 1/2 million population they have a diaspora larger than that.
Religion- Roman Catholic- 79%( mixed with indigenous beliefs), other Christian 11%.
INTERPRETATION OF IMAGERY
Verdant, green, thrive in healing even though it is a desert land for the most part and only green during the rains. 10 is the number for governmental authority. Jesus told the healed demoniac to not to travel with Him, but go to the 10 surrounding cities and testify of his healing.
